Facebook Call-To-Action Buttons Coming to the Top of Pages

Facebook giveth, and Facebook taketh away…

Not long after announcing further organic reach cuts on Newsfeed, Facebook is bringing an extensive line of call-to-action buttons which admins will be able to utilize on the top of their page.

These new Facebook call-to-action buttons can link visitors to content both in & outside of the social network itself. The available buttons, which were previously only available on ads and offers, will include:

  • Contact Us
  • Book Now
  • Play Game
  • Shop Now
  • Watch Video
  • Sign Up
  • Use App

In their official announcement yesterday of the new call-to-action buttons, Facebook cited a three-week test run with Dollar Shave Club, in which the company saw a “2.5x higher conversion rate” using the “Sign Up” CTA.

The call-to-action buttons will be rolled out to all US business pages in the next few weeks. International admins will have access to the new feature in early 2015.
