If You Needed a Reason to Go to Lolla, One Word: Outkast.

When rumors began circulating last week that Lollapalooza would feature former guests such as Eminem, Skrillex, Kings of Leon, and Arctic Monkeys, many of us (myself included) were a tad disappointed. In fact, I personally skipped out on purchasing a three-day pass, in favor of holding out for later this Summer to buy a ticket to see Eminem.

Then, we were told OutKast would be headlining. Outkast at Lolla. That just changed everything.

For those of you that didn’t grow up listening to hip-hop in the 90’s, I feel for you. You missed out on some of the greats– 2pac, Biggie, Nas’ one & only good classic album; and, yes, the glory-days of Outkast. Before “Hey Ya”. Even before “Ms. Jackson”. I’m talkin’ ATLiens here. “Bombs over Baghdad”. Classic shit.

Andre 3000 has been called one of the top lyricists by Eminem & Kendrick Lamar (I’m sure you young’uns have heard of those two), and trust me, it’s not just hype. While they are one of the few major hip-hop acts I’ve never seen live, I’ve been told they put on an amazing show. I expect nothing less.

Outkast at Lollapalooza. I’m very excited.

Now, does anyone have Friday & Saturday tickets they’d like to part with ;)?

Oh…yeah, there’s tons of other bands scheduled to appear at Lollapalooza this year too. Check out the list below.
