The Riot Fest Chicago 2014 Schedule is Here

After the awesomeness that was seeing Kendrick Lamar at Pitchfork last weekend, and Lollapalooza just around the corner, this Summer will go down as both a musical treat and harsh on all of our wallets. Bad news (or, good– either way): it’s not over just yet.

While I’ve personally been pumped for this festival since the lineup was announced in May, the official Riot Fest Chicago 2014 schedule has just been published, giving perspective concertgoers a taste of what each individual day will look like come Sept. 12th.

For my money (and for Riot Fest newbs), Sunday looks amazing, with The Cure, Social D, Weezer, DropKick Murphys, Primus, Cheap Trick, and Patti Smith among the several-dozen acts scheduled to appear. But, let’s not forget about the W– the Wu-Tang Clan will hit the stage Saturday, along with The Flaming Lips and South African rappers Die Antwoord (who I’ve seen at small venues twice now, and they rocked both).

Single-day tickets are also now available, and can be purchased through TicketFly. The fine folks over at RedEye have the entire lineups for all three days posted– I didn’t want to just blatantly steal all of it, but here are some of the days’ highlights:

  • Jane’s Addiction
  • GWAR
  • Rise Against
  • Pussy Riot
  • Slayer
  • The Offspring

  • Wu-Tang Clan
  • Flaming Lips
  • Die Antwoord
  • The National
  • The Used
  • Taking Back Sunday

  • Weezer
  • The Cure
  • Social D
  • Tegan and Sara
  • Primus
  • Patti Smith
  • Cheap Trick
