The Final Season of “Bloodline” Arrives in May

Our time with The Rayburns is coming to an end.

The trailer for the final season of Bloodline is here, with the series’ 10 episodes expected to be available for streaming on May 26th.

After being renewed for a third season last July, Netflix abruptly cancelled the series in September, without going into reason for the show’s demise. Bloodline was never the most popular series amongst viewers (though Netflix doesn’t release specific streaming data), but the first season scored an 80% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and Kyle Chandler & Ben Mendelsohn were both nominated for Primetime Emmys in seasons 1 and 2. Mendelsohn picked up an award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in season 1. The show made our own list for best new shows back in 2015.

Bloodline will be one of the few Netflix series so far to come to an end; though, the streaming service has only been producing original content for about 5 years. Other cancelled series include Marco PoloLilyhammer, and Hemlock Grove.
